Tags on GitHub are two-part (4.3, 4.4), matching Packagist. The changelog in the package repository is the release list.
4.4
Minimum PHP is 8.3. There is no new core migration.
The thread component keys the Livewire instance to the record and the thread name, so a Filament modal shows the record you opened. CommentsEntry::make() is the form entry. See Filament.
With enable_notifications on, and Pro not installed, a reply notifies the parent author. A top-level comment notifies the commentable’s user when that relation exists. The mail button is included only when the comment URL is on the application host. See Notifications.
4.3
4.3 adds optional lazy loading and an optional recursive thread loader. Both stay off the new path unless you opt in, so an existing thread renders the same way it did on 4.2.
Details are on Threads. If you published config/commentify.php before 4.3, add those three keys. Missing keys fall back to the defaults above.
login_route (added in 4.2) is the named route for the composer login link. Set it to an empty string when the app has no login route. A missing route fails quietly.
4.0
The 4.0 migration makes user_id nullable and adds guest_name, guest_email, ip, user_agent, import_source, and import_id. Guest commenting stays off until you set allow_guests. See Guests.
import_source and import_id are indexed so you can map rows brought in from another system. The free package has no importer. Disqus and WordPress import ship with Pro.
If you published Blade views, republish them. 4.0 adds partials/guest-fields.blade.php. If you copied CommentPolicy into the app, keep create(?Authenticatable $user = null) so guests can post when allow_guests is on. See Authorization.
For @mention profile links, set users_route_key to id for /users/1, or set user_profile_route to a named route such as users.show. The default stays /users/{name}.
