Livewire is the free package’s UI. Pro does not replace it.
The spam pipeline, approval flow, webhooks, Reverb broadcasts, badges, and pins all run on the Comment model. You do not pass extra props for Pro.
Installer
commentify-pro:install --frontend=livewire publishes Tailwind or Bootstrap views to resources/views/vendor/commentify and can set core.css_framework.
Publish only if you need to customize markup:
Published views take precedence over package views. You will need to merge changes on upgrades (4.0 added partials/guest-fields.blade.php).
Dark mode (Tailwind v4)
Set core.theme to light, dark, or auto.
Realtime
When COMMENTIFY_REALTIME=true, Livewire refreshes the thread from Pro’s realtime partial. Point Laravel Echo at Reverb. See Realtime.
Mixing stacks
You can render Livewire on Blade marketing pages and React on an Inertia app against the same comments table. Register aliases for the API even if some pages stay Livewire-only — the alias is what React/Vue and GET {type}/{id}/comments use. Last modified on September 12, 2026
