# Customization

> Publish views and language files, and override strings without forking the package.

Publish only the pieces you intend to change. Unpublished views and strings keep updating with the package.

## Views

```bash theme={null}
php artisan vendor:publish --tag=commentify-tailwind-views
php artisan vendor:publish --tag=commentify-bootstrap-views
```

Files land in `resources/views/vendor/commentify/` and take precedence over the package. Merge them on upgrade. 4.0 added `partials/guest-fields.blade.php`. If Pro is installed and you override Livewire views, copy Pro's rating, accept, and duplicate partials into those overrides when you use reviews or Q\&A. See [Livewire](https://docs.commentify.pro/livewire.md).

`css_framework` still decides which set is used: `tailwind` or `bootstrap`.

## Language

English and Spanish ship with the package. Publish and edit:

```bash theme={null}
php artisan vendor:publish --tag=commentify-lang
```

Overrides live in `lang/vendor/commentify/`. Every visible string goes through `commentify::commentify.*`, so you can relabel the thread ("Reviews", "Notes") without editing Blade.

With Pro installed, `GET ui` sends those translations to React and Vue. One language file drives all three stacks.

## Permalinks

Notification links need a public URL for the commentable. Implement `commentifyUrl()` on the model, or register a resolver:

```php theme={null}
public function commentifyUrl(): string
{
    return route('articles.show', $this);
}
```

```php theme={null}
use Usamamuneerchaudhary\Commentify\Commentify;
use Usamamuneerchaudhary\Commentify\Models\Comment;
Commentify::resolveCommentUrlUsing(function (Comment $comment) {
    return route('articles.show', $comment->commentable);
});
```

Mail and broadcast links append `#comment-{id}`. With neither hook set, Commentify uses the previous URL, then `/`.
